Why do humans generally give birth to only one offspring? Why don't they give birth to litters like animals? Isn't it more effective for survival of the genes to produce many babbys from one pregnancy?

It isn't even properly defined what survival means or "success". Evolutionary theory isn't about that either, it's about explaining certain observations. Everything else is tainted by human subjective perspective.
funny, recently I was thinking what it would be like if humans had multiple children like other mamales
back then before ussr we have wery big famalys 8 kids or more
because many of kids die anyway
Women only have 2 nipples so having more than two kids would be impractical.
