I feel like Australia is the future. We are the only country I think, apart from NZ, that has a star constellation on our national flag. Aliens will look at us and be impressed, meanwhile they'll exterminate everyone else and teach us Australians the secrets of the universe.
I also have very unironic hopes that in the next half century our space program will quickly surpass everyone elses. NASA will die from mutt country, China and Russia cannot into space and EU is too poor and retarded
Brazil also has a constellation on their flag
It looks to me like the southern hemisphere will dominate the world soon. I've always been a firm believer of this. When the colonists settled the new world, I bet they didn't think the inhabits of this 'new world' would possibly be settling actual new worlds.
Also Brazil has very decent space agency, up to 6 satellite launches for this year alone.
What are Australian scientific achievements so far?
